MICHAEL J. HOULIHAN
Michael graduated from the University of Michigan law school in 1968 and began practice in Traverse City in 1970. He served as Grand Traverse County Prosecuting Attorney from 1972-1976. His practice emphasizes estate planning, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, estate and trust administration, and construction law. Corporations, partnerships and other business organizations are well represented. He has broad general practice experience and is quick to refer his clients to a specialist in another field when necessary. Michael is a licenced residential builder.
He sails his Pearson 323 "Seahorse" from the Harbor West Yacht Club where he acted as Commodore for nine years. His hobbies include photography, woodworking, and cooking. He lives on a small farm on the Old Mission Peninsula where he served on the Board of Zoning Appeals for many years and as Chair of the Planning Commission for three. Michael has four grown children who continually amaze him.

Dick is a registered patent lawyer, engineer, and President of Emco Gears in Chicago, manufacturer of transmissions for the racecars of the Indianapolis Racing League. Dick has practiced patent and corporate law since his graduation from the University of Michigan in 1958. He acts "of counsel" on certain practice issues in Traverse City. He is a published author on scientific and legal topics.

Born in Arizona, Stacey Bickel is alternately Office Manager and Legal Assistant. Stacey is pursuing her paralegal degree at Northwestern Michigan College. Gus is a Bernese Mountain Dog originally bred in Switzerland for draft and herding rather than law office work. Gus is a graduate of puppy kindergarten and two levels of obedience. He specializes in greeting but retires to his office when his services are not required. Gus's hobbies include jogging and naps.
